Celebrate Your Victories - By Sabrina Santiago

-Time and time again, God does so much for us. Sometimes He blesses us in ways that are so meaningful to us that we can’t help but express it, but I’m here to encourage you today that you can express it :)

Growing up in the church, we are constantly warned about “pride” and how we are to live humbly. As I absolutely agree with this, I have noticed within my personal life and others, that it can greatly hinder us from speaking the blessings and victories that God bestows all because we do not want to seem like we are boasting. I had to break free from that, but it still is a challenge sometimes.

A verse that I love is found in 1 Chronicles 16:8 and it says, “Oh give thanks to the Lord, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the peoples!”

The Bible says a lot about sharing our testimony to this world. Just like the verse above, we are called to always thank God for every blessing in our lives whether it is small or not. We are to make known His “deeds.” God’s “deeds” are actions performed with intent. His blessings are intended and specific ‘doings’ for us! That’s how much He loves us as His children!

Our testimony is a life story of how God saved us or brought us out of darkness, but it also includes every blessing and answered prayer He does for us today. Our testimony is not limited to what He does for us, and it should not limit us from sharing and celebrating those testimonies!

It has seemed good to me to show the signs and wonders that the Most High God has done for me(Daniel 4:2).

The verse above displays the fulfillment of what Daniel felt as he shared all that God spoke and showed him to those. It is a good thing and an encouragement to those who look and see what God has done. It’s all for His glory!

I believe boasting has a certain posture, and it is to gain for one’s self, but when it is a celebration of a victory that God has worked or answered, it is always pointed back to Him in both directions, and I believe there is nothing wrong with sharing them to show His Glory. As long as we have the right heart about it :)

Today I hope to encourage the freedom of celebrating all the testimonies that God does in your life. When we share from a pure heart, and we are returning back the Glory that He deserves, your celebration is not in vain, and it is not something to be afraid of sharing.

Your testimonies are your victories!

Happy fall ;)
