The Importance of a Waiting Season By Abigail Cole
God will not make you suffer to see you in pain. He is maturing you, preparing you, for the promise He has for you.
Read this as many times as you'd like. God's timing is perfect and isn't a thing to be rushed (preaching to myself too 😅).
I feel that especially in these current times, it seems everyone is getting in a relationship, getting married, and etc. You see the occasional funny post poking fun at the topic on your Instagram feed wondering when your blessing is coming.
It's so incredibly easy to get wrapped up in someone else's life that you forget about the unique plan God made for you.
We all are on different time lines so we have to ask ourselves, do we really believe that God knows us enough to know when exactly we need things to happen?
Whatever answer you were able to come up with. I just want to remind you that God knows the number of every single hair on your head, he knew you before you were even formed in your mother's belly..
He is more than capable of creating a love story for you that you thought only existed in fairytales.
This season of waiting is something that can't be hopped over. Throughout the waiting season, God is preparing you for your promise. He draws things out you no longer need and puts in new, holy attributes.
The waiting season is such an important time for growth directly under God's hand.
Thank God today for our waiting seasons that will make us better equipped!
I pray that this word encourages you to wait on God's special, hand-crafted plan for you because He loves you too much to give you something too early or something too late.
"Consider it a great joy, my brothers, whenever you experience various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. But endurance must do its complete work, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing. Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without criticizing, and it will be given to him."
James 1:2â€-‬5 HCSB
"If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!"
Matthew 7:11
"For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold From those who walk uprightly."
Psalm 84:11
