With God you can do anything!

Hey gals, today we’re talking about a topic geared towards motivating you to put in your best self to accomplish your goals. It’s a very specific time of year for students and to be quite honest I need this encouragement as much as the next gal. Additionally, this applies to any aspect of life you want to apply it to-just if you’re willing to put in the hustle.

So to get things rolling,

Raise your hand if you love using a planner to track your life! (I’m raising my hand.)
Raise your hand if you think nothing is more wonderful than crossing something off from your list as complete. (I’m still raising my hand.)
Raise your hand if sometimes you don’t get everything you would have liked to get done that you wrote down in your planner for a day? (I absolutely have my hand up!)

If you answered yes to any of these questions than this blog post is absolutely for you! I first hand can relate being the planner type (I think it’s because I grew up in the most spontaneous household)! I love adventure but I am also very much a write it down and cross it off kind of gal. This can be positive and negative because sometimes I beat myself up for not getting everything on my to do list finished. Yet, it is awesome when I have a super productive day and get all of my to do list checked off! EITHER WAY I SET THE TONE FOR MYSELF.

If you answered no to any of these questions this blog is also for you too! It’s so exciting to know that regardless if you have a passion to plan or you can still hustle for your goals! Maybe you’re a busy mom who runs a business from home, homeschools your children and also works at the church! You are accomplishing so much and you have the opportunity to be the best at these things every single day. Being a mom is so important! It’s your number one job aside from serving God and being a help to your husband! So thrive because you can!

YOU have the power to be the best version of yourself! Did you know that you can accomplish big things if you set your mind to it? YES! IF you have the “I can do it” mentality you are capable of doing anything! You can be an awesome teacher, mom, wife, servant and person if you will devote time to each of these things! The old saying of what you invest in is what you will get a return in holds true...are you investing in the right things?

Sometimes people ask me to do things on the weekend and I have to say no because it is the time that I work on my blog! I am a full time college student with a part time job and several small jobs! Even though I may want to join in on a trip to Nashville I also have to have the power to say no! When I say no, I am saying yes to my goal of being a successful blogger! But, with this I also have to understand that sometimes it does mean I miss out on certain things!

Currently with social media we live in a generation of the fast paced. We can always see what everyone else is doing, which, means FOMO (FEAR OF MISSING OUT) becomes increasingly more challenging. Having the ability to say no to FOMO and yes to intentionality is always a win. You have the ability to do this because you decide what is the most important areas of your life. You get to put the focus on what you care about most...with my platform and blogging I want to share modest fashion + the WHOLE gospel with the world. This is something that I care deeply about so I have to be intentional about it! During the week I am busy with school so I don’t have the time to pour into it and that is why my weekend is crucial.

If we look at what God says about living intentionally and our work ethic...

The bible multiple times instructs us to do things with all of our hearts and to always put God at the center. He says that with him ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!! He says that he will be our help in times of trouble. He will go before us, beside us and behind us! Jesus will never leave you or forsake you!

This is SO exciting because it means with finals coming up and the end of my junior year in college God is going to go before me. It also means if I will put in the work now I will do well in 2 weeks on my exams. It also means I was able to get through a gigantic 12pg psychology paper I had to write and turn in yesterday. I’ve been working on it over several days and the last few were the hardest because I wanted to quit! Especially last night staying up until 4am to finish but do you know how I did it? I realized how important my goal of being a doctor is, I put school as a priority and I said God “I can’t do this alone, please help me!” Y’all I literally prayed over myself declaring a productive mentality and atmosphere to be on me. I prayed that I would articulate my words professionally and that I would do well! After I prayed these things I was able to push through to the end of the 12th pg! THANK YOU JESUS!

This was all a result of having a hustle mentality where I put in the work, said no to lot’s of fun opportunities, endured FOMO and because I put God in control. I fully believe he was right there with me at 4am because I asked him to be! I wouldn’t have been able to do it without him! HE SUSTAINED ME.

So in this season of finals and projects etc. or if it’s the end of the school year, end of the homeschool curriculum, tax season, the summer rush, Easter at church etc. Keep your hustle mentality and if you don’t have one...it’s time to get one sista! You are the only thing holding you back and from being your best because you are capable and God has given you the power!

I believe in you and I know that first hand when you invest in God you will get a return. I also know when you invest in the world you will also get a return. You decide what profit you want to make because it matters.

Jesus always gives back in double but with the world sin is only sweet for a season. Invest in the good things like, your children, your education, your calling, a ministry, people and in JESUS!

As always we here at Skirt Society love you!! We believe in you and know that you are amazing!!! Thanks for stopping in to read this post.
